On the 1st of September heavy rain resulted in several landslides around Balikpapan, devastating three local communities. In addition to generous donations of toys and clothing, BEWC members were successful in raising and coordinating over Rp 106 million which was used to purchase kitchenware and school supplies to benefit over 350 affected families.
